How MyDirector uses Instagram
MyDirector connects to your Instagram Business or Creator account via the official Instagram Graph API (Meta Platform). This page fully discloses every permission we request, exactly what data it returns, and precisely how we use it — so you can connect with confidence.
Permissions we request
We request only the permissions we need, and only at the time we need them. Each permission below links directly to its purpose within the app.

We read your Instagram profile info and media list to power your connected-account dashboard.

We publish Reels and carousel posts on your behalf, on a schedule you approved inside MyDirector.

We read your post and account insights to display performance metrics in your analytics dashboard.

Read and respond to comments on your posts from inside MyDirector.

Send and receive Instagram DMs for engagement and lead-gen automations.
What we do NOT do
- We do not sell, share, or rent your Instagram data to third parties.
- We do not use your Instagram data to train public AI models.
- We only post content that you have explicitly approved in MyDirector.
- We do not access content from accounts you do not own.
Consent & revocation
We only connect to your Instagram account after you explicitly grant permission via Instagram's official OAuth flow. You can revoke access at any time:
- Inside MyDirector: Go to Settings → Connections, then click Disconnect Instagram.
- Directly in Instagram:Go to your Instagram settings → Apps and websites, find MyDirector AI, and remove it.
After disconnection, all Instagram-derived data is deleted within 30 days.
Data retention

MyDirector AI Inc. complies with the Meta Platform Terms, Developer Policies, and Instagram API Terms of Use. We do not use the Instagram API in any way that violates these policies or Instagram's Community Guidelines.
